Pink to make the girls wink . . . . . . . .

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all ok and being good.
Hello and welcome to Snowqueen/Snowqueen 62 (I'm guessing one and the same but please correct me if I'm wrong)Thanks for jumping in the Duck pond. Feel free to leave a comment anytime, good or not so good, I really don't mind.
Welcome back Jackie from your hols, hopefully tanned and rested.

It's a quickie today if you don't mind. I have been a busy girl today (Monday) and I am scheduling this for Tuesday and I have a shower to have and dinner to cook yet.
This was an urgent request on behalf of one of Mr Duck's friends' so it was a quickie at the time it was made too.

Now, to start its a 5x7 white card base. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of pink card and ran it through the GC with the Couture Creations All of a Flutter embossing folder (you get a lovely deep emboss with this folder).
I then cut the second smallest die from SB Decorative Labels One out of white and also pink card and the second smallest die from the SB Decorative Labels 27 out of pink card. I then stamped the sentiment onto this label with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
I snipped the middle bits from each edge of the white label and then layered them on top of each other.

Some white silky crush ribbon (won from the CE blog hop) was then added across the pink card before sticking it to the base card.
Labels added on top and a silky crush bow at the side. . . . . . . . . . .done!!!

Bit pink and understated for me I know but I kinda like it and so did the recipient so all's good.

Have a great day folks and well done Jackie for getting the GP result correct. Hope you had a fiver on Hamilton (I had gone with Raikkonen, so close but no cigar!!!). Who do you fancy at Spa ? (Its a track in Belgium before Heather says anything about facials and massage !!!)

Psst............another labour of love card coming to a blog near you on 1st August.

Sunday 28 July 2013

Welcome to my craft room O'Majestic one. . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning my little Duckadees. As I'm typing this, its certainly weather for ducks!!!
Firstly, a warm welcome and thank you to Jenny (Cardsarus blog) who has so kindly become my 14th follower. I am superstitious so being on 13 was bothering me.
Thank you, also, to everyone for being so sympathetic about my tooth. The cracked inlay has been removed and a temp one installed. Back to the dentist Weds for impressions (hold fire with the Rory Bremner jokes!!!) then the following week for the new inlay. . . . . when will the fun ever end eh???

Now, another warm welcome to the beautifulness that is SB Majestic Labels 25. It is now my favourite set . . . . . . . love it, love it, love it!!!
I took the plunge and ordered the bundle with four of the new die sets launched in Vegas on C&C. About 36 hours from order to my door. . . . . .impressive. I have only managed this one play as I've been busy but hopefully will get some play with the other sets too over the coming days. This particular set, though, is stunning. In my excitement, I forgot to take a pic of it open as it is a tent card (think that's the right term) and the reason I used an A3 piece of card to start (the largest die does not cut around its edge, it just embosses the edge, cuts out the middle and the filigree bits, if that makes sense)

I cut an piece of teal A3 card to a size of 16.5cm x 33cm and Hougied it in half so it was a 16.5 x 16.5 square. I then cut one of the SB Bracket Borders out of each side of the front of the card and just the plain cut edge to cut the back page edges.
I then cut the largest of the SB Majestic Labels 25 from the middle of the front page and also the middle die of the set from the centre of this. The middle die just cuts the pattern out this way rather than cutting a whole piece out.
I ran the portion that then cut out, through my GC with a Forever Friends embossing folder. I then stuck a white card background on the inside of the front page and then foam padded the embossed layer onto this.
I cut the 2nd smallest die from the same set in white card, stamped the sentiment with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and inked around the edges too and foam padded on top of the embossed layer. To neaten things, I rounded the corners with my scissors and. . . . . . . voila !!!

I had just finished it half way through the last C&C Spellbinders show, so I emailed a pic in and they showed it on air. I was so chuffed as John Bloodworth said it was better than the ones he had made and did I want to come on the show and demo LOL!!! I'm sure he was being polite but I still felt my feathers bristling with pride.

I did um and ah about the set as I wasn't sure about the circle set but it is actually lovely so I'm very happy with all four sets but this set is amazing.

Hope you like my first make from the set. It was done quite quickly in eagerness to play so hopefully I can come up with some better ones as I play more.

Have a great day folks. Hungarian GP this afternoon so I'm a happy Duck !!!

Friends are special treasures. . . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well with you and yours. I am preparing this for scheduling earlier than usual as I'm at the dentist this afternoon (Thursday) and don't know if I will be up for blogging after having my mouth messed with.........a cracked porcelain inlay so it ain't going to be pleasant I'm guessing and I will probably be more distressed than a Tim Holtz card, but enough of my dental mishaps!!! Whilst I hopefully have your sympathy, will some kind soul please become a follower as I am on 13 currently and yes I am superstitious.
I am just testing how to link blogs so I am using Heather as guinea pig to see if you can link through to her blog by clicking here.

Now, I had done a second card using the double embossing on the background and here it is. Honestly Elaine, its not at all time consuming or tricksy. The card does have more of a greeny tinge in real life rather than the bluey tone showing on my screen but all screens seem to look slightly different.

The base card is a white 5x7 blank. I cut a slightly smaller mat from white card and stamped the rose stamp in Versamark and clear heat embossed. I then inked over the card with Broken China Distress Ink...............and this is what you get..........................

This is not mounted onto the base card. I have just popped it onto some white card so it stood out better for the photo.
I then made sure that this was completely dry before stamping all over with another flower stamp in Versamark and clear heat embossing again. I then inked over this with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. I could not get the photo of this stage to look right but you can see the effect on the close up below.
I just added a trio of strips of navy blue organza ribbon and topped them with SB Scalloped Ovals, which I inked to tone in with the background, and a sentiment from a Debbi Moore stamp set (freebie with something else).
Finished with a two finger bow made with pale blue and pale green organza ribbons.

That's me for now folks. Hopefully, by the time you read this, my tooth is sorted and I haven't been arrested for putting the dentist's drill somewhere about his person, requiring surgical removal LOL!!!

Have a good day.

Please do not adjust your sets, normal service is resumed.............

Howdy doody folks. How's it hanging with everyone? I have been hot and sticky but now feel refreshed after a cool shower........the Duck needs to keep her feathers in pristine condition you know!!!
A warm, well very warm at the moment, to Anne. Thank you for following and feel free to leave a comment as and when you can and Patricia, I'm intrigued as to what an "Altered Cheese Box" is.

I bet you knew all was back to normal when you saw this zingy baby pop up on your screens just as you thought it safe to put those Ray Bans back in the drawer. It was a bit of an odds and ends experiment kinda thing.

Now, I saw Sue Wilson do some double embossing but she did use a much bigger stamp with a bigger embossing area. I thought I would give it a bash with some smaller stamps.
I started with a 5x7 cream card base and for the first layer, Versamark stamped and clear heat embossed a rose from a Kanban set.
I then inked over this with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and wiped over the embossed areas with a dry wet wipe. Make sure that this is dry before you go any further or your next wafting of embossing powder will stick to the damp ink as well as the stamped areas.
Next, I stamped a chrysanthemum type flower over the base with Versamark and clear heat embossed. I then inked over the whole card with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I wiped over the embossed areas again.

I had three spare offcuts of one of the SB Elegant Labels Four dies. I chopped the tops off of them and stamped little flowers on them using the same two distress inks again. I also inked around the edges.
I stuck these to the base card with foam pads, leaving a gap to thread the orange organza ribbon through, which was then topped with a finger tied bow (can't remember who I was thinking about when I had my two fingers up this time hahaha!!!)
Topped each of the offcuts with a Britannia Rose die flower, then added the sentiment.

It was a bit of fun messing around with the inks and embossing and I was getting luminous withdrawal symptoms.
NASA have been informed in case it gets picked up on a satellite. LOL !!!

Have a great day folks.

You wait for one, then three come along at once.............................

Good morning ducksters. Hope you're all bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Firstly, I'm pleased to welcome Val officially into the pond as she is now, kindly, a follower.
We will be drawing that 4000th follower blog candy before you know it LOL!!!

On the subject of dear Val, in case you did not see her last post, C&C have come up trumps and sorted out her Gelli Plate.
However, just to clarify, I have always had great service when ordering from C&C. Only once, have they sent the wrong thing but let me keep the wrong item and immediately dispatched the correct one. All of my orders have arrived within a week and sometimes they do have good offers. I do, however, agree that their postage charges are ridiculously high and I only tend to order if the item/items are a steal. I was miffed because of my missing spotty potty card (but some chums have advised that it can take some weeks to materialise) and was sympathising with poor Val after her comment on the 18th. Just though that I should re-dress the balance after opening the can of worms.

Now, today I have gone for the muted tones hat-trick. I had a bash at teabagging. . . . . .in a crafting sense, not in a Samantha Jones sense, if any of you watched the fabulousness that was Sex and the City.

I won't go into the ins and outs unless you want me to. . . . . . .I'm sure you crafting veterans know even better patterns. I saw this demoed somewhere and I tried to replicate it.
I used some Do Crafts double sided paper and cut the circles from the SB Butterfly Circles die. This did make it a bit tricky to score nicely as you will notice there are a couple of tatty bits.

Not a bad first attempt but as John said yesterday, "could do better".

What will the next post bring I wonder? Muted or bright? Hmmmmmmm! Decisions decisions!

Please pop back to have a look if you can. Its a duck eat duck world out there and sometimes I feel I'm wearing bread underwear so its nice to know folks are popping by for a paddle.

Subtle, the sequel......................

Good morning my crafty chums. Thought that I would throw you another curve ball today to keep you on your toes. Normal service will be resumed shortly.
I was going for a "less is more" on this one as sometimes I do have to restrain myself from over egging my crafty pudding.

Now, the base card is an A4 piece of PMD hammered cream card. I then popped a smaller layer of purple card on top (and I must confess to being tight and I cut out the middle of the purple so it was more like a frame shape that I actually used as a layer).
I cut another smaller layer out of cream card and put it through my GC with the Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder. I had to do this twice to extend the pattern.
I then stuck three radiating pieces of lilac organza ribbon across the front of the card and popped a bow on the side.
I cut the middle two SB Decorative Labels Eight dies, the larger one from my spare purple offcut and the smaller one from cream card.
Sentiment stamped and heat embossed and then I inked through the die with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. The purple layer was stuck to the base card flat and the cream label was stuck to the purple with foam pads.
Few bits of bling in the corners and my work was done.

It is only certain shades of pink I don't like, most notably "blush" as a card colour. My calling the lattice on my previous card "pale pink" really translates to "pale for me pink" as its not really a pastel pink.

Kate and Elaine, sometimes the bows behave, sometimes they respond to name calling and sometimes I give up. My bow maker consists of a cardboard frame type doobree (that's a technical term!!!) I made with two house plant sticks that pop into various holes I have made in the cardboard. . . . . . more bow diddley than bow jangles, I fear hahaha!!!
John, I'm working on the scarlet and neon card as we speak but I will need to get NASA's permission to show it.
Val, you rant away. I'm not happy with C & C at the moment either. Not only did they neglect to remind me that my club membership had expired, I was pulled from the Spotty Potty over two weeks ago on a Splodgeaway show and the card hasn't materialised. I contacted Tom at Splodgeaway, who confirmed that C & C do the posting rather than the guest but he did offer to do me a bespoke pressie to make up for it. I thanked him for the offer but said no as it was not his fault. I have emailed C & C twice about it and no one has even had the decency to acknowledge my emails. I was certainly thinking of them whilst using my two fingers for tying bows, I can tell you!!!
If you want to ring their UK customer services, the number is 0044 (0)1733 316200 so that you don't end up ringing a premium rate number in Katmandu if you have to chase them.
Jackie, hope you did take some time to smell the roses the other day. There are some great tutorials on Joanna Sheen's website on how to get the most out of that Britannia die. If you were not paddling in the pond on 1st June, you may like to have a look back at my blog post of that day which shows the Britannia die used to make poppies and fuchsias.

Thank you everyone else for your comments; as always they are much appreciated. I do seem to get more comments than I have followers so if anyone wants to follow but hasn't been able to, please let me know so I can try and look into it. Otherwise, all are welcome to jump in the pond and join the fun.

Have a great day..............th th th that's all folks !!!

The Duck's blog post day so sunglasses ready and . . . . . . . . .

Good morning mes petits canards....................Ha !!! thought you had opened the wrong blog didn't you? Well, remove those sunglasses folks as I thought I would show you that I can do subtle. . . . .don't get used to it though, I have a reputation to keep up LOL !!!

Now today's out of the ordinary offering was started with a 5x7 cream card base. I then cut a slightly smaller cream mat and ran it through the GC with the That Special Touch Moroccan Mask. I had to do this twice to extend the pattern. I then inked through the mask with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. This was then stuck to the base card.
For the topper, I cut the middle and smallest die of the SB Elegant Labels Four out of cream card to create a frame. I then inked through the die with Spun Sugar again. I then cut a small portion of the SB Fancy Lattice Die out of pale pink card, just enough to fill the aperture in the frame. I cut this to fit and stuck it to the rear of the frame. Then I stuck a piece of cream card behind this on foam pads. For the pale pink layer, I put the die onto some pale pink card, drew around it and cut it out by hand (think this may be a faux nestie???). This was stuck to the back of the cream layer and then foam padded onto the base card.
Finished off with a few flowers made with the medium Britannia Rose die (so versatile as you can make all sorts of different flowers with it, including the fuchsias way back at the beginning of June) a cream organza bow (tied on my fingers as I couldn't find my bow maker straight away) and a bit of bling on the bow and in the centre of the flowers.
Sentiment stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and added with a foam pad. . . . . . .Voila !!!

My goodness Jackie, did Pickfords have to transport you home after Doncaster LOL? You will have some fun with all that lot.........I'm only jealous but not long until Stoneleigh now. Elaine, stick with the Bitty Blossoms; they are one of my favourite sets. And Val, you will need to ask Spellbinders to make you a football shirt die hahaha!!!
Thank you, one and all, for taking the time to see what I have been up to. I know its the blog equivalent of Russian Roulette with my stuff but hey, its a bit of fun.

Hope I haven't made you all think you're in a parallel universe. Normal service will be resumed shortly so don't put those shades away just yet LOL !!!
Be good.

Roses on labels and whiskers on kittens. . . . . . . .

Morning everybody. Hope that you are funky fine and enjoying the heatwave. Doesn't it just make you happier for feeling the warmth of the Sun on your cheeks . . . . . the ones on your face before Heather says anything !!!
Glad you seemed to like my first jewellery showing. I would love to see anyone elses if you like to dabble. . . . . . a sort of I've shown you mine now you show me yours type of thing LOL !!!

Now this is not one of my favourite cards, I have to say but when you are asked to make a certain type of card, I'm not precious enough to say no because its not what I would choose to make. It was similar to one I had made before (can't find my piccy of the original at the moment otherwise I would have shown that instead)so it was a case of "can I have that, with that instead?"

Its an A5 card base made from an A4 Sheet of white card, Hougied in half.
On top of that, is a layer of pale pink card that has been embossed using the Couture Creations Bouquet embossing folder. I then cut four of the second smallest squares from the SB Decorative Labels One set, out of raspberry card. I also cut one of the second smallest SB Decorative Labels Eight, also out of raspberry card and I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto this.
I then stuck the labels onto the card, with foam pads, in the arrangement shown.
The flowers are all SB Bitty Blossoms made from the pale pink card and arranged as I was asked.

The person who requested it was very pleased with it so I suppose that's all that matters but has anyone else felt a bit strange about making something they didn't want to do particularly?

Anyhoo my little duckettes, I shall now schedule this and then watch Rick Stein.
Hope you all have a fabulous day and I want to know what Jackie bought in Doncaster, if she pops by.

And now, for something completely different . . . . . .

Good morning one and all. Hope you are not sunburnt and sore. I spent a good portion of yesterday washing my carpets with my friend's carpet washer. I wanted to get them done whilst its still hot enough to get them dry.
Today, I shall chill and watch Sue Wilson (hurrah!!!) but then have to brave the supermarket (booooo!!!)
A big hello to Val (who I think is also known as Val in Spain) and thanks for your kind words and Elaine, that's how I got my Mrs Duck label.........used  be just "me duck" then when we got married, it became "Mrs Duck".......its a Midlands expression too.
Hope all of you that have made it to Doncaster have had or are having a great time. . . . . don't spend too much cash Jackie !!! I'm saving my pennies for Stoneleigh next month and possibly the NEC in November. I shall, of course, be meeting up with the Scottish and Kentish members of the Duck Posse whether I get to the show or not.

Now then, I was reminded by Wendy's lovely butterfly earrings, that I have yet to show any of my jewellery on the blog. Jewellery making was my first love and has been a bit side lined by the cards so I'm taking the plunge and will show bits intermingled with my cards.
I won't go into the finer points of instructions, unless someone would like them, in which case, I will be happy to oblige.
This set is a choker, bracelet and earrings. The choker and bracelet are made with memory wire so they  just pop around the neck and wrist. These are great for folks with dexterity issues as there's no fiddly clasps. The beads are lime bugle and seed beads and the crystal bicones are Swarovski.............my favourites and my crystal of choice. Yes they are dearer but worth it IMHO. Swarovski Elements feature in the vast majority of my jewellery, as you will see.
This is a simple set but there are some more intricate designs to come.

Hope you like the interlude into jewellery but if it's not your cup o' char, my humble apologies.
I will throw another one into the mix soon.

Take care all and be good!!!

In the Navy................(no Village People were harmed in this post)

Good morning my crafty chums. Hope everyone is hunkydory (or Crafters Companion or Creata..........I've had my diversity training LOL!!!)
Firstly, sorry for not posting yesterday morning. I should have scheduled the previous night for yesterday but real life caused a bloggus interruptus.
Next, hello to Lydia and Elaine. Thank you for your kind comments and for having a look at my doodahs. Hope you will pop by again soon.
I  was really surprised at how well my last card was received, only as it was just an experiment. I do love that stamp and have other cards, I will show at some point, using it.

Now, I'm hoping John hasn't had a dream about navy and yellow or people will begin to talk LOL!!! I know it's hard to imagine but the yellow is a lot brighter in real life. I had a right game getting it to show as yellow as photographing it on a yellow background made the whole lot look cream and navy. I kinda got there in the end but I dare say you are all probably relieved that it isn't too vibrant on screen.

Quite any easy one for cutting, just a bit of a tricksy glue fest.
Base card is a 6x6 navy card. I cut four of the corner die from the SB Botanical Swirls and Accents set and one of the 2nd smallest of the SB Decorative Labels One out of bright yellow card. Also cut another label out of the navy card.
I inked through the corner die with navy ink but on the yellow, it looks more teal. I stuck the corners together along the edges with double sided tape as I find it easier to line them up straight that way, rather than sticking them separately to the base card.
I then applied dabs of glue all over the swirly bits and stuck the whole ensemble to the base card.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on the yellow label (in navy, though it looks black on the photo) and layered that onto the navy label at the opposite angle. Then stuck with foam pads onto the centre of the base card.

Well, that's me for today. Hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather, wherever you may be.
Thanks again for paddling in the duck pond.............hopefully, its been a refreshing experience!!!

Work in progress...............

Good morning my blogging chums. Hope you are all blossoming in this fabulous weather.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post, well, in fact every post. Its very kind of you all and appreciated more than you will know.

Today's offering is a kind of experiment. I was having one of those "what would happen if I did this" moments ( they usually happen in the kitchen and work 9 times out of 10).
I didn't have any parchment so I used tracing paper.....they seem similar to my untrained eye. I stamped my Kanban (R.I.P) rose stamp onto it with blue pigment ink and heat embossed (carefully) with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder
I then used a glue pen on the flowers and added some pale blue glitter (it was still lurking from the aperture hiccup). I then cut the tracing paper to fit a white 5x7 card blank and then cut an aperture out of the card blank. I then did the same with a piece of blue card and sandwiched the image between the two.
Its obviously missing a sentiment but I feel it still needs something else. What do you all think?
All suggestions gratefully received but keep em clean folks, its a family show !!!

Keep having fun in the sun with Pina Coladas, Pimms, Peach Schnapps or whatever your tipple is. Me, I'm just high on life LOL !!!

Wot, no Christmas?....................

Good morning everybody. Hope you are well and enjoying the long awaited heatwave........long may it last!!!
Told you the last card was my one and only Christmas card and even that was from last year LOL.!!! I will try and come up with some more
Well, after removing the secret cameras that had been installed by Heather in my craft room, I had a play with this card (I have moved the cameras to my bathroom so that will teach her a lesson or make her scream LOL !!!)
I apologise if the picture quality is not great but I took them on my phone as my camera battery went to sleep as I switched it on.

I started with an A4 piece of PMD Raspberry Pink card. I left the length at 29.8cm but cut the height to the same as the largest of the Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four dies.
I then scored at 7.5cm in from each end.
Using the largest Elegant Labels Four, I just cut the flap at either end by overhanging the rest over the edge of the cutting plate (if that makes sense....the next picture may assist my waffle).
I then cut 3 of the middle die from this set out of PMD cream linen card and inked through the die with a fuchsia pink ink. I didn't ink onto the centre of the die cut, just through the holes.
I then cut two of these to fit the front of the card and stamped each with the rose stamp* in the fuchsia ink. They were then stuck onto the front of the card.

On the 3rd die cut, I stamped it with the sentiment in fuchsia again and stuck it inside the card.
I then used fuchsia pink organza ribbon, threaded through the gaps to tie in a bow. In the flesh, the ribbon colour is pretty much the same shade as the card but has come out different on the pictures.

A different take on a filigree card so I hope you like it.

More F1 tomorrow and tennis................remember to cheer on our boys, English and Scottish!
May have another trip to the bookies.

Its late now (I'm scheduling) so time for beddybyes.
Hope you have the Sun in the sky and in your hearts and thank you, as always, for popping by.

Chestnuts roasting on an open ............bbq

Joyeux Noel, Feliz Navidad, Fruhliche Weinachten or whatever the appropriate greeting in July is these days. Now I get a feeling for what the Aussies must go through with shorts and tinnys and tinsel. I decided, if you can't beat em, join em but only with one card so far.

I bought two mahoosive Hunkydory sets last year so most of last year's cards were made from that (as will most of this year's as I have tons left) as that was PSW 2012 (pre Sue Wilson). I didn't take any photos of them but do have some still knocking about. Not sure that folk will want to see any Hunkydory cards I make as they are Spellbinderless but shout if you do. I do intend to get some more Christmassy dies soon so watch this space.

I did buy the Holiday Tree set as one of my first Spellbinder purchases and also the Holiday Magic M-Bossibilities embossing folder, both of which are used on this card which went to my brother in law and his partner.
I won't do the granny and egg sucking thing as it's straightforward except to say, I did improvise with the "poinsettia". I cut the long bauble out of this set and used the aperture as a template to draw through and cut round for the bracts. I then used a metallic gold Promarker to draw the veins. Not anywhere near as good as Heather's proper poinsettia but I was on the hoof.

Now, I think it was Jackie and Kate who asked how I got my.............sit down with a Pepsi John ..........peel offs straight. All I did was measure the width of the letters then draw two very feint parallel lines, that distance apart, down the side of the card and popped the letters between the lines. Sorry it's not a very exciting answer but it's what I did.

Anyhoo, its time to go feed Rudolph..........I was going to do the "looks like reindeer" joke but I don't want to completely alienate the few followers I have LOL !!!

Merry July everyone !!!

Waste not want not.......Part Deux

Howdydoody everyone. Hope you are all warm and well. Thank you to Michele for popping by the pond. I hope you will visit again soon. Thank you as well Ita for your kind comment. I do try and keep it fun and light hearted. . . . . .don't want you all nodding off now, do I? ZZZzzzzz ...........who's that snoring at the back? LOL !!!

Well, you may remember that I had one remaining piece of waste to use from my Grate Works cutting spree. . . . . .picture above. I had deliberately cut the two pieces this way to try something different. The apertures were filled with cream cuts from one of the other projects.

This is what I came up with....................................................................

Not exactly a masterpiece but not bad for offcuts.

I used one of the SB Decorative Labels One dies to frame the Grate Works pattern. The pieces  do obviously cut out but I just stuck them back in place...........if that makes sense.
I stuck the ensemble onto an A4 sheet of cream card which I had Hougied in half and then.............brace yourself John, used gold peel off lettering and a heart down the side.

Well, that's it for the offcut series of cards. Normal service will now be resumed so I will have to get busy in the craft room.
Take care folks, be good and thanks for popping by for a paddle.

Waste not want not BOGOF..........

Good morning my little Duckadees. I hope you are all well and that you haven't disappeared with Google Reader.
I am hoping that it hasn't impacted on Google Friend Connect, which is how I have followed people and how people can follow me. There were mixed opinion as to whether it would, which is why I have held back to see what happens. If GFC has gone with Reader, then I shall look at sorting another  method for people to follow, if of course they wish to.

Today you get a twofer as Sue would call it. These are two of the cards that I made from the waste on the last one. I should have warned John, if he's looking, that I have used ................. sorry..........peel offs !!! Only on the lettering as the gold on them matched the mirror card.
I won't teach any grannys out there to suck eggs (be they duck or otherwise) by telling you how I made these cards, as I hope that you can see what I have done.

This card I left without sentiment as I quite like it without.
I will post the third card that I made out of the double aperture waste (see previous post) in a couple of days................another health warning for John as it has letter peel offs again.

Hope that you have enjoyed the sunshine at the weekend. I was in heaven with the British F1 GP practice sessions, qualifying and then the race. Shame there were no Brits on the podium but on the upside, I did have a bet at the bookies on the winner, Nico Rosberg..........kerching!!!
