Festive in Purple . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all bright eyed and bushy tailed. As of typing, still appear to be in rhythm and fluid situation is easing. Still getting the odd rogue beat but otherwise ok.

Thank you for your comments on the last card. It was a bit different for me but once I got teddy bears in my head, I had to run with it.

Littlelamb. I don't mind you commenting at all. Thank you very much for taking the time. So polite so I'm not quite sure why you've been hanging around with Maureen lol!!!
Talking of whom, I'm not sure sticky pads will do. so I've sent a hoist.

Jackie and Kate, hope you had refreshing breaks. Welcome back.

Suzzie, Darnell and Karen I promise to keep on top of the situation and I am good about salt anyway. I don't add it to anything,  except a juicy sirloin steak. Sorry, that has to have a twist of Maldon on each side lol!!!

Yorkie Wendy, I always work on the principle, laugh and the World laughs with you . . . . . . fart, and you laugh alone. . . . . .

Now, this is another little deep purple Christmas number, teamed with some silver mirror card. . . . . they do go well together, methinks, although the photo above doesn't look very purple. Trust me, it really is lol!!!

Ingredients
White and purple card
Silver mirror card
Sue Wilson Holly Octagonal Frame
Sue Wilson Snowflake Gemini
Docrafts Snowflake embossing folder
Dovecraft sentiment
Memento Dew Drop Grape Jelly ink
Pearlage

Still quite a flat card, although I think this one went to our next door neighbours.

Well, Flash has competition. An older neighbour 5 doors down from us has decided to do a bit of cycling.
Now, he is a rather portly fellow (in his 60s, about 5ft 9 and I'd guess around 20 stone) and I commend him for embarking on a fitness regime but Lycra is very unforgiving!!!
There was a fluorescent yellow skin tight Lycra top (safety first eh? Not that you could miss him in broad daylight) and shockingly tight Lycra leggings. . . . . . . even Linford Christie would have given these a swerve. Mind you, did remind me that we've got some walnuts lurking in the cupboard left over from Christmas.
I can only hope that he found a comfortable saddle position as he wobbled up the road, waved off by his wife.
Will have to think of a name for him if he is going to continue.

Now you have that lovely image in your head, I shall wish you all a happy and healthy week.

TTFN
Ang x

  4. Ang, I just love your blog, I think you should write a book as you have such a way with words, although I am not sure about the picture you have left me with re Mr, Lycras so I scrolled back up to your lovely card to see if it would replace said image an no it does not.
Take care Ang and keep fit and smiling.

  9. So glad to read you are feeling a little bit better. Let's hope you get to sing, 'I got rhythm' in your best Ethel Merman voice real soon.
Love the card, purple and silver always look very rich.
I love your story about the guy in Lycra, It reminded me of the great Victoria Wood when talking about a perhaps larger man in red having a rear end like two halves of an Edam cheese!

  10. Oh Ang, you do make me laugh!! And laugh out loud I did at your response to Yorkie Wendy then you planted another vision in yellow lycra. Good to laugh though isn't it. So pleased you are doing so well so let's hope that nature has resumed it's orderly function and no more unscheduled trips to the doctors. Very regal card today with bling and purple thank you. Take care love from Jackie xx

  12. Hi Ang, you seem to attract the "nutters" don't you?? I don't know why overweight people would dare to wear Lycra, doesn't even look good on super models. Purple and silver, a lovely combination. Janice xx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

  14. Hello Ang,
Ooh I wish I lived near you, Flash and Biker Boy (until we can think of a better name). I lead such a dull and boring life!! I hope the hoist is of industrial strength otherwise it's no good.
I always used to say "Laugh and the World laughs with you, frown and you get wrinkles", but I think I prefer your version ha ha.
I hope the old ticker is keeping a regular rhythm and that the fluids are departing rapidly. Take care, don't do anything that I wouldn't do........
    love xxx

  17. Lovely elegant card that! So pleased you are staying steady - think of you every day when I take my Warfarin. Haven't been online for a couple of days and have just caught up with last Thursday's blog. Thank you for the samples of Golden wedding cards which are of course both beautiful. I eventually made one using Sue's new heart dies and treat cup but I felt that it lacked some of the delicacy and beauty of your samples but my sister was pleased with everything so that as OK. Now to start on the birthday list. Keep well Ang and please keep reporting on the neighbour - that gave me my first smile of the day!

    Marion! xx

  22. Hi Ang,
Your card is so excellent and gorgeous.
I love the wonderful design, and your super colour choices.
Oh my word your story about your neighbour reminds me of my younger days when I, and a colleague used to go to the gym, and when she first sat on a exercise bike for the first time she said I hope this isn't going to ruin my marriage prospects.
Well I did fall about laughing, but they sure are uncomfortable at first.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
