Heartfelt Wishes . . . . . . . . .

Good morning my little duckadees. Hope all is well with you and yours. Apologies for my few days away but real life took over a bit.
The fish and chips were very nice and the company and conversation even better!!! I always thought fish and chips were a healthy option. . . . . .fish is supposed to be good for you and chips are veg so doesn't that count as one of your 5 per day ?

Welcome to Sue (http://olliesmam.blogspot.co.uk) who has kindly become a follower. I shall pop over and have a peek at your blog when I get some time today. Also, thank you to Bibiana for your comment. I shall pop over to visit you too.

Sandy, Christine's farmer neighbour lost his herd of cows. . . . .to think I worry when I mislay my pen lol !!!
Christine, fingers crossed the cows don't go on the moooooove and find an udder way out of the field. . . . . . . . .sorry, couldn't resist.
Sue (Snowqueen62), I've never used the wax paper, though I hear its handy for doing stamping on candles too. On my intricate dies, I rub them with a tumble dryer sheet (cost about 99p for 20 sheets and I keep them in an airtight container) and they pop straight out. I'm only on my second sheet after 12 months and they smell lovely.
Val, glad that shoulder is bearing up but go steady, your craft room needs you!!!

Now, today's card is a variation on another card I have made but haven't shown yet (will do shortly). The base card is an A4 piece of blue card from Limetree Crafts, Hougied in half to A5. This was layered with a smaller piece of lime green PMD card. I then added another blue layer. The top layer is more lime green card, inked with Shabby Shutters, Mustard seed and Peacock Feathers distress ink and stamped with a Hobbycraft butterfly stamp and heat embossed with Stampendous White EP (did the double embossing technique as per here).
I then cut a heart with a Sissix die out of the top, stamped my sentiment and heat embossed in white, then cut it out using the 2nd smallest SB Butterflies Circles die. I then "coloured" this with a Versamark pen and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer clear EP to give it a glossy effect.
Three pieces of white organza ribbon wrapped around and then sentiment foam padded on top.
I foam padded this layer to the card and then added a white SB Les Papillion that I had knocking about, to the centre of the heart and that was that.

Well, here we are at the start of another week and nearly a new month. It's scary how time flies (even if you're not having fun hahaha!!!).
Hope you all have a great week.

Holiday Magic . . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well in the wider reaches of the pond and that Patricia hasn't been rocking you in her wake lol !!!
I'm off to Birmingham with Nesta for our monthly meet up with a group of chums. Its fish n' chips from a favourite chippy local to one of the girls. Her hubby takes the orders, bless him, then goes and fetches them for us. We then sit with laptrays and mugs of coffee putting the world to rights and laughing our socks off. Happy days.
Hazel, thanks for the Naming Day explanation. Haven't come across it before but its nice to learn new things.
Val, I hope you don't aggravate your shoulder with the Tai Chi. I prefer Chop Suey myself, hahaha !!!
Maggie, I hope you're enjoying your visit back to the UK. Careful with that suitcase. Michael O'Leary takes no prisoners with excess baggage.
Christine, I did laugh at the thought of your farmer losing a whole herd of cows. That's just bonkers lol !!!
Jackie, I'm supremely jealous of your forthcoming hols. I started thinking about myself and Mr Duck getting away as we are late this year with Mr Duck's work schedule. . . . . . . then horror of horrors, realised that his passport has just expired and mine runs out next month. . . . . . . sufferin succatash !!! A trip to the PO en route to Brum to get renewal forms will be in order.

Now, back to today's card. I'm back on a Christmas roll again.
The base card is a cream 5x7 card blank. I cut the SB 2012 Holiday Tree out of the front to get a tree shaped aperture. I then ran the front through the GC with the SB Holiday Magic embossing folder. I then stuck another piece of cream card, 5x7,  on the back of the aperture (ie on the inside of the front page)
I cut a second tree out of burgundy card and then stuck this in the aperture. Also, I cut two of the smallest SB Decorative Labels Eight out of burgundy card.

I used the same die to create the piece to stamp the sentiment on. I took some cream card and drew around the inside of the die twice, alongside each other to create one long label (if that makes sense) I then cut round this with scissors. I stamped the "Merry Christmas" (Indigo Blu) in Aged Mahogany distress ink and inked around the edges with the same.

I then foam padded this onto the two Labels Eight pieces, making sure they were even and in line then snipped off the bit of bulky excess in the middle. This was then foam padded onto the base card and all was done.

Hope you all have a smashing day, whatever you are up to. I shall spare a thought for Patricia and Hazel's friend, Anne and hope her op goes well.

With Love . . . . . . . .xxx

Good morning one and all. Hope you are all behaving in your bit of the pond. Thank goodness its warmed up a bit. At one point, my feet were colder than a penguins chuff. I bet it was nippy round the trossachs for the Scottish Posse.

Thank you so much for your kind comments on my HOC challenge entry. I think the winners are announced on Wednesday so fingers crossed. Thank you to the HOC DT members who have left lovely comments too and especially to Donna (http://craftycolonel.blogspot.co.uk ) who has become a follower. Welcome Donna. We're a lovely bunch at the pond and hope you will paddle again soon.
Wilma, I've been lucky enough to visit Singapore a few times, when visiting family in Malaysia and I love it. I've had a Sling in Raffles (and got the glass) and next time I want to have Tiffin.
Patricia, I hope you were joking you naughty girl. There is a speed limit in the pond for Health and Safety (or in Kate's case, Elf and Safety lol !!!) reasons.
Hope folk who wanted some, managed to get some of that lovely Lidl card/paper.

Now, today's card was me trying to be a bit minimalist. I have seen lots of lovely CAS cards about and I thought I would try to pare back and see what I could do in a similar vein.
The base card is 6x6 white linen card. I ran the card front  through the GC with the That Special Touch Fancy mask then inked through the mask with Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed distress inks.
I cut the SB Medallions Eight out of some more white linen card and inked this with the same distress inks and foam padded it onto the centre of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto more white linen card with Spiced Marmalade and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Clear embossing powder and voila !

I have managed to suss how to do my own watermark in a program I already had on my laptop. Its not anything fancy but it will do for now. I will try and fancy it up when I get a bit of time.
Hope you have a fabulous day, whatever you're up to. I'm at the charity shop today so I shall see if they have any more boxes for me to jazz up (coming to a blog near you soon ;-) )

Friendship . . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning my little duckadees. Hope you have defrosted after the cold snap.
Glad you liked my Christmas card and hope that some of you may have got a Lidl bargain.
If I come across any more bargains, I shall pass them on.
Jackie, hope your Mum is ok and that you are back. Are you going somewhere warm for your hols next month?

After persuasion from John, I am entering the House of Cards Classic and Elegant Challenge (not two words that you would normally associate with me but challenge, possibly hahaha!!!)
You have to use at least 3 of the colours featured on this picture . . . . . . .

so I have gone for the lilac, plum/purple and the white.

The base card is an A4 plum card, Hougied in half to A5. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of white card and ran it through the Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder, twice to extend the pattern.
I cut the largest die from the SB Majestic Labels 25 out of lilac card and cut the frame to fit within the white mat. The edges are inked with Dusty Concord distress ink.
On the middle piece of the die cut, I stamped the Kanban Rose stamp in purple pigment ink and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder. The edges of this were also inked with Dusty Concord.

The white embossed mat is stuck flat to the base card and the lilac frame is foam padded onto this. I then popped the stamped shape into the middle and stuck it flat so that the frame is raised around it.
I stamped the sentiment onto more lilac card with the purple pigment ink and heat embossed again. I cut around it with a fancy edged pair of scissors and foam padded it to the card along with a white organza ribbon triple bow.

A bit of bling and job done!!!

As I said, I'm entering this into House of Cards Classic and Elegant September Challenge so lets hope I've done this linking mularky correctly and fingers crossed.

Singapore GP this weekend, woo hoo!!! Wish I was at Lau Pau Sat chewing on a few satay sticks with an ice cold Tiger right now.Have a great weekend folks, whatever you are up to.

Lidl Card and Paper Offer . . . . . . . .plus fish n' chips !!!

Good morning folks. Hope you're all well. Just a quickie today. My camera battery went flat just as I wanted to photograph a card I wanted to blog today, booooooo hissssss! I will sort it for tomorrow now.
So, what I am showing is some gorgeous card and paper I got, on offer from Lidl yesterday. Fortunately, I had photographed this earlier on. Wanted to share this great offer if its of any use to you guys
The card is 270gsm and is a pack of 25 different colours. The paper is 135gsm and is a pack of 50 sheets. They are bigger than A4 (24x34cm or 9.5x13.25 inches). The packs are £1.99 each and the quality is excellent. I bought 4 packs of card and 3 packs of paper and I am tempted to pop back today for more.
The offer started yesterday and runs until stocks run out. I was at Lidl 10 mins after opening yesterday to make sure I got what I wanted.
I think some of the Scottish girls have had no luck so its obviously not available everywhere. Maybe the Spanish posse can get hold of it?

I shall return tomorrow with a card and hope that this offer may be of use to you.

Ps . . . . . .BHS have some restaurant offers on their website too. Not as good as usual but on Fridays you can get fish and chips for £1.99 if you buy a hot drink. Just print off the voucher from the restaurant section of the BHS website. Bon appetit !!!

Wednesday 18 September 2013

Its all a load of baubles . . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning one and all. Brrrrr . . . . . .hasn't it got nippy ? Don't worry Patricia, I'm working on that Duck House. I thought of contacting that MP who claimed for one in that expenses scandal. Thought he may do me a deal hahaha !!!
Val, I know exactly what you mean but I think Sue kept her in check and Elaine, good idea about the volume switch.
Maggie, we have a strict door policy at the pond but I can assure you, you are on the guest list lol !!! It would be lovely if you were brave enough to show us your bits (crafty ones that is, tee hee!!!) but it took me nearly a year to pluck up the courage.
Christine, we have cats, foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels, a frog and Mr and Mrs B (our resident blackbirds) and occasionally next doors' escaped rabbit but never a cow in the garden. Catching the rabbit is sight to behold, only missing the Benny Hill chase music to accompany the task hahaha!!!

Now, today, I'm getting a bit festive. I was fishing around in my box of stamps and came across some Christmassy ones I had bought earlier in the year from Hobbycraft in a sale.
I started with a 6x6 card base cut from white hammered card. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of red card and then another, slightly smaller mat out of more white hammered card. I punched the corners of the white mat with a Dovecraft Holly Punch and saved the waste.
I stamped a leaf stamp (brand not known as it was in my car boot bargain box of stamps) across the top with Versamark and then heat embossed with Debbie Moore Gold Embossing Powder.
I then stamped my first bauble using red pigment ink and heat embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I then masked it off and stamped another behind and heat embossed then same with the third. Next time, I think I won't ink up the sticky out bits on the top two baubles as its a bit sticky out bit overload methinks.

The sentiment is an Indigo Blu stamp and this was gold heat embossed. I coloured the bows with a Gold Metallic Promarker and drew gold lines from the top to meet the baubles.
All layers added to the base card, stuck flat and the holly waste added to the corners. Lastly, I went around the edge of the red layer with the gold promarker, with a ruler, a wing and a prayer lol !!!
A fairly quick one to mass produce.

Hope that it does warm up again. Its far too early for wintery conditions. The weather needs to be reminded its still only the middle of September.
Have a great day folks and remember, if you can't be good, blame someone else !!!

Love, Friendship, Happiness . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning my little duckadees. Think we may all be having a little swim today or being blown around. I'm convinced I was meant to live in a warmer climate lol !!!
Hope Patricia, Hazel, Kate and Elaine had a lovely get together yesterday. Also glad that Val didn't fare too badly at the scan. Hopefully they can sort you out now.

I just wanted to clarify that I did hand draw the elephant on the last post (if you look closely, you will see my hand wasn't that steady lol !!!) but not from my imagination. There were a couple of small pictures that I used for ideas for the shape and colours.

Now, today's post is a bit picture heavy I'm afraid as its a twofer of sorts . . . . . pressie and box.
I bought some MDF hearts from the craft show last month with a view to making some hanging things (don't know the technical term I'm afraid)
First, I painted them with some cream cupboard paint I had lurking under the stairs but only roughly to almost prime them.

I then used Spun Sugar and Dusty Concord Distress Inks, Splodgeaway butterfly stencils, Hobbycraft and Creative Expressions heart stamps and sentiment stamps to create each heart, with some heat embossing in white and gold.

They are all tied together with cream organza ribbon with little bows tied in between.
The Love and the Friendship can be dodgy things in life but we all desire . . . . . . . . .

I decided to give this to my bezzie mate Nesta as she is a good old stick and all round good egg. I was going to put it in an organza gift pouch but then thought, perhaps a box. I remembered Hazels first origami box the other day and thought that would be good to try. I was then looking at Christine's blog and there was another one so that was it . . . .fate!
I clicked on the link, watched the clip and 15 minutes later, a box . . . . .

Tad dah!!!

I didn't have time to embellish it greatly but didn't think it looked too bad for my first attempt ( I have done a couple more since). I used Docrafts Spring Chic 12x12 paper for the base and a stash mix for the rest.

I wrapped the hearts in white tissue paper and popped them inside the box. Nesta loved both the gift and the box (phew !!!) and is going to re-use the box to put bits and bobs in.

Click here to see the tutorial for this amazing box. Thank you Hazel and Christine for the timely reminders about this super project. And, thank you to you all for your lovely comments.

Have a great day even if its wet and blowy. Stay in, keep warm and dry and craft . . . . . . . I shall be in front of the box from 12 - 2 for the return of Ms Wilson . . . . . . . .Hurrah !!!

On the road to Mandalay . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Friday the 13th Eeeeeeek !!!  Hope this finds you happy and well. I also hope its not too cold or wet in your bit of the world. Although we have cranked the tog rating up a notch, no need for the heating yet thankfully. I have to go through my snuggle under my Shaun the Sheep fleece blanket for 7 consecutive days before its deemed cold enough for the heating to be switched on hahaha !!! No blanket required as yet.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post. Nesta and I had a lovely time on Wednesday. A funny film at the pictures (thank goodness for Orange Wednesdays otherwise it would have been pricey) and a fab lunch too. Happy times !!!

A very warm welcome to Carol (Carol49gtlum) who has kindly become my 21st follower. Thank you so much and if you get chance, be happy to hear what you think about my offerings or life or the universe or anything really. Haven't had chance to check if you have a blog at the time I'm typing but rest assured, if you have, I shall swing by to say hello.
Patricia, you get back in this pond right now !!! I thought you Scots were a hardy bunch but as you're not, I've had the pond heated for you.
Val, I hope that your scan went ok and that it didn't cause you to panic. Glad you had a nice time with Wendy the day beforehand.

Now, to today's card. I said I had been asked to make a "rustic" elephant card for Thursday. Turned out Nesta actually meant ethnic . . . . . I was sort of relieved as I wasn't sure what a rustic one looked like lol !!! She then changed her mind and decided she wasn't giving me much notice. Then she changed her mind again . . . . . . Wednesday afternoon, still required for Thursday . . . . . .gulp !!! (for her Brother in Laws birthday)
Now, I don't have anything remotely elephant orientated so I had to look through books etc for inspiration, then hand draw what you see and colour it in with, hate to say this to you colourists, felt tips I got from the Pound Shop . . . . . I can hear the gasps now . . . .  sorry ladies. I did use metallic Promarkers for the shiney bits though.

The white spots were done with a white gel pen and . . . . . . Tippex . . . . . .sorry again.
The base card is a piece of A4 black card Hougied in half and there are several mats and layers of black and white, with gold metallic marker round the edges.
I topped the picture with acetate (Yea, its taken me over 12 months but finally I use some acetate) then made a 4mm frame from black card to hide the tape (bonkers or what ?).
I did enjoy doing it as its another "out of the comfort zone" project and I had a call to say Nesta's BiL was very happy with his card.
I did try and upload another photo of Nellie's head but computer say no.

Hope its not too much of a shocker. Have a wonderful day folks and thanks for popping by the (heated) pond.

And now, for something completely different . . . . . . . sort of. . . .

Good morning, good morning, we've slept the whole night through and hope that you have too (love that film).
Its definitely nippier and we have gone to the next tog level on the duvet scale. We are at level two now and I hope we don't get to level four which is a 15 tog but I'm sure it will make an appearance before we see Spring again.

I have entitled the post as is as I could not get the pic of the card I originally wanted to post, to download. Technology eh?
Thanks for your lovely comments on my last post. I shall not rush to do another faux leather item as it was a bit of a faff and I have a low faff threshold. Should do more with the CD but I'm now attached to my GC and will need to be surgically removed from it.

And now for some messages for my sponsors.
Firstly, a big welcome to the pond for Christine http://christinescardsandcrafts.blogspot.co.uk).
You get to recognise names as you are floating around blogland and try and visit other folk as and when you can but sometimes you forget where you've been and where you meant to be going next hahaha !!!
Val, I do remember being allowed to stay up and watch Hill Street Blues sometimes. I used to love the theme music and the meowing kitten at the end. . . . . . ask me to remember what I did yesterday, no chance but a meowing kitten from a 80's tv show, that I remember lol !!!
Lydia, I only know what I've been told by someone else so I can't really say except that it was her decision.
Kate, yes I will be going to see Rush but as its out on Friday 13th, I'll leave it until next week. The good luck has been in rather short supply of late so I'm taking no chances on Friday. . . . . .in fact, I may just stay in bed lol !!!
Jackie, all those aches and pains; I always said exercise is not good for you lol !!! Does sound fun though. Agree Sunday was a good result for Mark. I shall miss his candidness when he leaves at the end of the season. Sadly, not one of the greats but a thoroughly decent chap.

Now, todays card. I've done variations on this theme but decided to stick with the one die set on this one. It was made for Nesta Vipers to give to our friend who is moving to Wales (She got the buddleija card from me)
Cream linen card cut to a 6x6 card base. The corner die from SB Botanical Swirls and Accents was cut four times out of pink card and stuck to the base card. The scrolly and fancy square dies from this set were cut from cream linen card and on the scrolly one, I inked through the die with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and then Dusty Concord too so there is almost a shadow effect. I then inked the edges with Spun Sugar.
I stamped the sentiment in Spun Sugar and quickly sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder and heat set. I then lightly inked over the die cut and its edges with Spun Sugar.

Both foam padded onto the card and job done.

Hope you all have a great day. I'm off to the cinema to see Jadoo with Nesta then lunch and a girlie catch up. Enjoy whatever you do today.

The Suitcase and the Bear . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well and happy in your hearts. I have had a happier weekend, watching men drive fast cars in Italy (the men and fast cars were in Italy rather than me sadly, lol !!!). Its been a bit of an escape and I've loved it.

Now, today there is a twofer as they are both cards I made at the request of friends and were both card styles I don't normally do. As Jackie would say, crafting without a safety net.
The first card was for a friend to give another friend who loves travel (and I mean seriously loves travel) and is currently spending his birthday in South Africa. I volunteered to do a suitcase card and then thought I had bitten off more than I could chew as I had never done anything like it before.
I made it using the faux leather technique from Sue Wilson's blog to try and get a mock croc look about it (not too sure I succeeded but I will be a bit more clued up next time).

I had bought some Docrafts stickers in a sale and I thought that they were like the ones folks used to stick on their cases years ago so on they went, front and back.
Tied the labels on with paper twine and there you go.
Sorry this got snapped in my kitchen as I was about to head out of the door with it.
I received an email from the recipient who is loving his holiday and thankfully, loved his card . . . . . phew!!!

This next card was for another friend who wanted a cutesy card for her young niece, but no fairies. That was a relief as I haven't got anything fairy on stamps CDs or paper. I only have a couple of craft CDs, one of which is Docrafts Forever Friends Black and Gold. I have the papers for this set too and they are lovely. so much so, I don't like to use them but at least I can reprint from the CD if need be.
I composed the card on the Digital Designer, printed it onto Polaroid gloss photo card, stuck it onto a folded piece of cardstock, then cut around all layers so it was shaped front and back (if that makes any sense). It doesn't show up too well as I had already bagged it and was ready to trot out of the front door, when I remembered that I hadn't photographed it. It was then just a quick snap with my phone (there is a pattern forming here lol !!!)
I had some FF ribbon for the bow on the head and the niece sentiment was cut out with a SB blossom die and attached with Nymo thread so it dangles and that's that.

Been asked to one with a rustic elephant by Thursday so that should be interesting lol !!!

That's me for today. Have a good day yourselves and lets be careful out there.

Friday 6 September 2013

Happy Birthday . . . . . . .Well, it must be someone's somewhere.

Good morning everyone. If the forecast was correct, lots of us will be swimming by now but I hope everyone is happy.

Hope those of you with technical issues are getting sorted and Gail, I have a confession. I did smudge the border on my last card, very slightly in one of the corners, hence I blocked the corners off with the marker too. They say confession is good for the soul hahaha !!!

Now, today's card is me continuing on a less is more theme. All card is from PMD.
I started with a 6x6 white card base. I then cut a slightly smaller piece of pink card and ran it through the GC in a Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder
I cut four pieces of Creative Expressions white crochet ribbon and attached them around the corners of the pink card.
The white frame was cut using the second largest and second smallest of the SB Captivating Squares die. The pink centre was cut using the smallest die in the same set, sentiment stamped and heat embossed, and popped into the bottom frame. All foam padded up and stuck to the base card, e voila !!! On reflection, maybe I should have added bling in the corners of the white frames. . . . .perhaps I shall.

Not a tricksy card but sometimes you just fancy beans on toast rather than a full on roast dinner, if you catch my drift lol !!!
Enjoy your day, whether wet or dry.

Wednesday 4 September 2013

Thank you . . . . . . . .

Good morning my little Duckadees. Here's hoping we are all going to bask in a bit of sunshine today before the Arctic conditions arrive on Friday lol!!!
There is a new blogger on the block called Jacquie. She has only just started and like some of us, had a few hiccups. Her cards are beautiful so if you get a chance, pop over to http://jewelscardcraft.blogspot.co.uk and have a peek.

Thanks again for your lovely comments. As you can see, I have been experimenting with the less is more theme recently and as per others, trying to use some dies that I haven't got round to using.

Now, today's card started with cutting a 6x6 card base from PMD white linen card.
I then drew a border using a blue metallic Promarker (did use a ruler as my hand is not that steady lol),
I cut four of the SB Blossoms Two, in four different sizes, out of pale blue and mid blue card. I cut the smallest from the middle of the second largest, if that makes sense and also, I cut a hole in the middle of the second smallest . The middle two were stuck together and then I wrapped some navy organza ribbon around the edges and through the holes in the middle.
Sentiment stamped and heat embossed and everything layered up with foam pads.

That's it for today folks. Hope you have a good one and enjoy that last glimpse of summer lol!!!

Have a Happy Day . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope you all are well. I apologise in advance for any spelling, grammar or other mistakes as I'm typing this at stupid o'clock, having been out most of the day, so this is scheduled for morning.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my foray into the unknown with coloured pens and here are a few quick replies. . . . . .

Firstly, Selamat datang to Asmah. Semoga anda dan keluarga anda dalam keadaan sihat selalu. Hope I have said that right as my Bahasa is limited. For those who don't know, this Duck is half Malaysian and Asmah has kindly become my first Malaysian follower. Hope you keep popping by Asmah and terima kasih.
Sue (Snowqueen) fortunately Mr Duck has no interest in home decor and unless he vehemently disagrees with something, he just lets me choose.......good lad!!!
Jackie, love the comment about the lack of safety net. . . . . . think it was more without a parachute lol !!!
Lydia, its not at all cheeky to ask. Fortunately I did crack it on the first attempt. I did go a bit long on one of the door panels but just turned it over and rubbed the extra bit flat again. The Hougie really came into its own that day.
Claire, thanks for the link. I shall have a look at a more decent hour.
Finally Val . . . . . . be strong and hold hard !!! Don't let em fob you off gal.

Now, today's card was a bit of a play with two of my new dies.
Base card is a 6x6 cut from PMD white linen card. This is matted with a piece of green card (origin unknown, just found some amongst Mr Duck's papers and pinched some of it . . . . .half of what's his is mine hahaha!!!)
I then took a slightly smaller piece of white linen card and wrapped some lemon and some green organza ribbon around it as shown.
On a blank piece of white card, I inked some Mustard Seed and Shabby shutters Distress Inks over the card, then took a piece of moist sponge and dabbed it over the card to give it a mottled effect.

After this dried, I cut the largest SB Delightful Circles and also the SB Die D-Lites Medallion Eight out of this card, at the same time. I also cut a piece of green card with the outer cutting die from Medallions Eight and attached that to the back as a contrast. I stuck this atop the ribbon on foam pads and then foam padded the sentiment underneath.

Another bright one but blame John for showing that lovely yellow card yesterday lol !!!

Hope you all have a happy day wherever you are in the world.
